Nerf Master Blaster

The Nerf Master Blaster was a great Nerf gun in its time. The gun was eventually made obsolete by the superior Nerf Ballzooka, but the Master Blaster was the first push-handled Nerf gun that fired both when you pushed the handle forward and pulled it backwards.

The Nerf Master Blaster was a lot of fun to play with, even though the gun would occasionally misfire or shoot two balls at the same time.

Nerf Blast-A-Matic

The Nerf Blast-A-Matic was the successor to the original Nerf Blast A Ball.

Whereas the original Blast A Ball was limited to one round, the Blast-A-Matic could fire three rounds in rapid succession.

While it wasn’t the most accurate Nerf weapon, the Blast-A-Matic was still a lot of fun to play with.

Nerf Hydro Bazooka

The Nerf Hydro Bazooka seems to be one of those things that happens when are too many minds at work in a single room. “Hey, we all love Nerf guns, right? And we all love water guns. That means we’d really love a Nerf water gun!”

Erm…not so much.

As you can see from the picture above, the Nerf ball on the Hydro Bazooka is attached to the barrel by a piece of rubber, effectively rendering the weapon a fancy pop gun.

Of course, you could fill the thing with water and blast your friends, but I’m still not sure what the ball has to do with anything, or why Nerf decided that the Hydro Bazooka would be a good idea to begin with.

Nerf Ballzooka

The Nerf Ballzooka was…well…awesome. The Ballzooka took the power of the Nerf Blast a Ball and combined it with the semi-automatic fear-inducing Nerf explosion that we’ve come to know and love.

How fast was Nerf Ballzooka, you ask?

Try 15 shots in 6 seconds fast.

Nerf Blast a Ball

nerf blast a ball

First things first: The Nerf Blast a Ball was loud. REALLY loud. To operate the thing, you first had to jam a ball into the end of it (not always easy to do with small hands). Then you had to pull back the handle and push it forward as fast as you could, and the air pressure would send the ball flying forward like nothing else you’ve ever seen.

As you can imagine, getting ambushed by the blast a ball when you weren’t expecting it — well — the sound of the ball coming out of that tube was enough to Nerf Blast Your Pants.

Something else needs to be made clear for those who were never on the receiving end of a Nerf Blast a Ball. These balls…they weren’t quite golf balls, but damnit, they weren’t far off, either. I had bruises, I tell you.

Big ones.

Anyway, the Nerf Blast a Ball was the first weapon that Nerf ever made, which means it was the first Nerf weapon I ever tortured my brothers with.

Thanks, Nerf, for the I Win button.
