Funnily enough, it was also the first nerf blaster I owned. And I have many of the new N-Strike blasters. Even now, I am searching Ebay for one. They were also easily modded, for that extra power we all crave. If Hasbro ever picked a classic toy to reproduce... This is the one I would pick.
