I basically got the Nite Finder EX-3 and I'm like 10. I think the lazer point IS kinda useful for night missions. In day missions, you gotta use that tactical rail for a scope. This is better than the Maverick. The only con about the Nite Finder gun is the capacity.

My son has one that I had to remove the AR from because it completely stopped firing. It's a great little weapon now, lead me to buy a Mav. The battery compartment is in the pistol grip. Remove the screw in the black cover at the bottom of the grip to change batteries.

My friend recently got this gun, and it works perfectly. However, if you tried the most original one without the tactical rail, you might want that one instead. The new one has a rail, but the sight in the front isn't usable because of it. Sights would't work well on a pistol, and there is already a red dot laser built in it.

I got mine for about a dollar at a yardsale. Then I took out the restricter and added a airsoft gun spring inside the factory one, it now shoots upwards of 100 feet.

I haven't seen that much of an increase personally, but you're right that it does make a big difference.
