Nerf N-Strike Unity Power System Review

The Nerf N-Strike Unity Power System answers the question, what would happen if multiple Nerf guns could assemble themselves into a single larger, badder creation like Voltron? Yup. Pure awesomeness.

The N-Strike Unity Power System is really three guns that can be assembled and disassembled at your fancy. Each weapon features a different type of ammo, and each gun has a distinct purpose.

The big missile? That’s for mortar like attacks. The other two weapons have you covered when it comes to close range combat and suppression fire.

Unfortunately, the smallest blaster (Hornet) is rather unreliable, and often goes unused thanks to what seems to be a faulty air pressure unit.

The Nerf N-Strike Unity Power System is a whole lot of fun to play with, and is heartily recommended to everyone.

The nerf n- strike unity power system is overall a pretty awesome gun. There is a couple things I would like to point out. The scout does not have a great fire distance ,but the accuracy is ok. The hornet is freakin awesome but it is not consitent. Sometimes when I try to shoot it only one bullet shoots out of the six. You usually need to pump it for a pretty long time ,but other then that the hornet is a great gun. The titan is the best out of all of them. If you pump it to it’s highest point when you press both triggers this rocket comes flying out up to 50 feet. So go to toys r us or any other retailer and by this awesome gun.

as a veteran Resident Assistant and NERF warrior I can honestly say this is one of the most satisfying nerf purchases I have ever made. The scout is, in my opinion the best gun out of the three. The hornet allows you (after signifigant pumping) to fire six in a row or all at once (with an overlooked reloading mechanism that often leads to epic “one out of the six that were suppossed to fire in succession” failure, you have to cock the sight after firing six single shot darts out of it, which is the dumbest mechanism I think I have ever seen) and the titan rules, it has a mechanism (which is easily defeated) that is supposed to stop you from firing the missle straight up. The FOONK of launching the missle is EXTREMELY satisfying, and catching someone off-gaurd with it is hilarious (within about a ten or fifteen foot range). This isn’t a reliable long range weapon, but for playing in a zombie survival or assassin type scenario this gun is an excellent choice. I keep the titan and hornet mounted together at all times and have the scout as my holstered sidearm.

This unity system is one of the most interesting and coolest ideas for Nerf. The rocket is fun, shooting at friends as an ambush, but is very impractical. The pistol, quickly becomes faulty, and won’t stay when cocked. If modded and fixed like i have, it is a decent light weight side arm. Finally, the hornet, is amazing. The directions are confusing, but when understood, and with just 5-10 pumps, you have 6 solid shots. Each shot is powerful with no more needed pumping. The side button releases all the darts a once, almost like a shotgun. Put together, the system is a gimmick, the hornet is great.

i have had this gun for 3 months and im not very satisfied, first the volley fire on the hornet cant hit the broad side of a barn from 2 inches away, second you only get one bullet for the titan if you need another shot your out of luck, third the whole thing falls apart when you try to reload it, fourth if you miss your target on the first volley of darts and bullets youll be a sitting duck

This set of blasters is a great value.

The Scout is just meh, but stock, it’s similar to the Nitefinder. Modded, however, it’s nowhere nearly as good. The tiny reverse plunger just really limits this blaster’s potential.

The Hornet is better. Each shot can go about 35′ flat, and there are 6 shots. Semi-auto, for that matter. The only downside is that it can take quite a while to pump up. Also, more likely than not, at least one of your barrels will be leaky. As for modding, it’s decent. However, most people just choose to integrate the individual tanks and use that blast buttons for the triggers.

The Titan… is something else. The air tank is enormous, hence why it can fire that gigantic rocket. It can get about 45′ flat stock. After converting it to fire micro darts, it get’s ridiculous ranges. It was one of the only two blasters to be outright banned at wars, the other being the Super Maxx 5000. This is due to it being able to reach ranges upwards of 150′ flat, and it really hurt.

    THE TITAN IS BEING DISCONTINUED!!!!!
I just spoke to Nerf customer service for a replacement part for my Titan and they said ” this product is discontinued”

      Thom,
I think they will keep selling Titans. They probably want you to buy a new one so they more cash. Besides, the Titan is too beastly to discontinue!!!

Now when I saw this gun I was amazed. I never saw this gun on T.V. But there are some minor problems with this gun… I got this gun for my birthday and some others. Me and my friends got my Nerf guns out of the boxes and when we started shooting each other, the poor person with the hornet couldn’t get it to shoot. The bullits kept falling out and the gun wouldn’t hold the air in… I had to take it back and get a new one… It’s still if’y… The Titan and Pistol is very good. My friends fight who get’s the better pistol alot. The pistol resembles the M-9.

personally, I think the titan is the best one for two reasons: one, the sheer awesomeness and power of the missile is really cool. The second one is that when modified to shoot darts and missiles and removing that venetian-blinds type thing on the end, its power is added to. I put a serious dent in a pie tin with the missile when it wasn’t even anchored to anything! I also like the scout for its compactness and its fair range of about 30-35 ft. The worst one, however, is the hornet, because i took it apart and found out that the mechanism was too complicated for the nerf gun to be able to handle i working correctly, such as the thing to fire off all shots lets the air come out of the place you press, and its also very prone to leakage with all the parts.

  10. Luc says:

I bought this gun. I was dissatisfied with the rocket so I took the barrel out of the second section of the longshot and attatched it to where the missle goes. I now have a true NERF sniper that can shoot 55-70 feet. It can also fire pens, nails, and anything else that will fit in the barrel.
