Nerf Eagle Eye Review
The Nerf Eagle Eye was the first Nerf weapon ever to incorporate laser sighting. And by laser, I mean a concentrated red beam of light that was woefully inaccurate. But hey, it was fun anyway, and the “laser” represents a landmark for Nerf, even if the Eagle Eye itself was pretty mediocre.

This was my first Nerf gun, sent to me free! I was part of a birthday club at a local FOX network station (WOFL 35, Orlando), and they randomly sent me a T-Shirt and an “Eagel Eye”. I was about 8 years old or so. The toy’s “Laser” sight was adjustable, and pretty cool by itself, but not very accurate. Still, a landmark for Nerf, and me as my first real projectile-shooting toy as a kid.
This gun is one of the few I still own that isn’t COMPLETELY broken. It was pretty heavy as far as nerf guns went. I remember that the cocking mechanism was hard as frick to pull back. It was my little brother’s and he couldn’t cock it so I ended up with it during our Nerf wars. The extra holder on top for 2 more darts was always coming off and ended up lost altogether.
This one was a bit big and clumsy. The blaster shot straight and had a good reload action. But the overall size was big, and the light was useless. I did like the eagle design in the body of this one!
I think this was the last one I’d gotten. I was kinda impressed, what with being able to be part of the further Nerf evolution, but the weight kinda made it cumbersome to work with. That and I kept losing the extra dart holder over and over. But, if I still had it, chances are I’d still keep it.
