Nerf Crossbow Review

Released in 1995, the Nerf Crossbow was the first Nerf weapon ever made that had the ability to fire two types of ammo (darts and arrows).

Out of the box, the crossbow can easily achieve ranges of 40 feet or more. To put it simply, this is one of the most sought after Nerf guns ever made, because with a few quick mods it can easily hit ranges over 100 feet.

Firing the Nerf Crossbow is simple. You pull back the handle until it locks in place, and release the tension with a pull of the trigger. As a little bit of trivia, the Nerf Crossbow was the first Nerf arrow weapon that could be fired with a trigger.

The Nerf Crossbow was the first blaster to come with an integrated shoulder stock. It is exceptionally accurate and reliable, and if you have one I recommend you either keep your hands on it or sell it — it isn’t uncommon to see these sell for more than $200 on eBay.

Look guys, I’ve got one of these. It’s a nice gun, but really not worth the hype and the money some crazy people pay for them. I paid a dollar for mine, and it was broken. Then I fixed it up, so it works now. I think it’s neat, but no way is it worth $100 if you ask me. And they can easily go for more than that.

Obviously you haven’t modded yours. They have the largest plunger volume out of any Nerf blaster, and are very reliable and durable(when reinforced). Most owners of this legendary blaster can get it to reach at lest 100′ flat, easy.

This and the stampede are the single best weapons in nerf. If they fight it will be the end of the world

Not only that, I found some “Poof” darts or “Air Foam” darts as they’re currently sold by the Ja-Ru company out of Jacksonville. AMAZING! They’re a tighter fit than the old MaxForce darts and I didn’t even switch to a copper barrel. Easily my gun of choice even in the days of multi-shots. I don’t really care if someone lobs 40 minis 20′ short of me. I’ll nail ‘em with ease before they get in range.
