The Nerf NB1 Missile Blaster was one of the first Nerf weapons ever made, and at the time, it was a lot of fun to play around with.

Now, you won’t see great accuracy out of the Missile Blaster. In many ways, you might as well be blindfolded while shooting. The range on the Nerf NB1 Missile Blaster is controlled by how fast you throw the pump forward, and you can easily shoot missiles 40 feet or more. Granted, it doesn’t really matter how far you can shoot if you cant hit anything beyond 10 feet, but who cares?

The Missile Blaster was the first Nerf missile weapon, and it remains a classic.

If you're after some good gatling gun action, you can't go wrong with the Nerf Rapid Fire!

The Nerf Rapid Fire 20 is incredibly fun to play with thanks to its immensely satisfying Gatling gun action. Just load the Rapid Fire with 20 darts, prime it (20 pumps), and fire all 20 rounds in less than 3 seconds.

One of the cool features of the Rapid Fire 20 is that you can toggle between automatic and single fire modes. In single fire mode you can either fire the shots off one at a time with individual trigger presses, or hold the trigger down for a slower version of the automatic mode (it’ll take you about 11-12 seconds to unload all 20 rounds).

The Nerf Rapid Fire 20 has a range of about 20 feet (I’m sensing a recurring theme), which might sound low, but it keeps the gun from being overpowered compared to other Nerf guns. Balance is important, after all, and it’s easy to forgive the range when you can blast off 20 darts in 3 seconds. That’s just awesome.

Of course, one of the big pains when you have a gun that blows through rounds like the Nerf Rapid Fire 20 does is that you’re going to spend a lot of time gathering your darts, reloading and priming. This is not unique to this Nerf gun, though. Other rapid fire blasters like the Vulcan and Raider face the same problem, but in my opinion, having to reload frequently is a fine tradeoff.

The priming pump on the Rapid Fire is prone to breaking if you aren’t careful. As with all pump guns, slow steady pumps are best. Erratic pumps (as younger kids are prone to do) will wear out and possibly break the pump. Just be careful and your Rapid Fire will have a long life.

If you’re looking for a unique Nerf gun that will make your friends run for cover and hide (for at least 3 seconds), you’ll have a lot of fun with the Rapid Fire 20.

The Nerf Slingshot is fun to play with because of its unique firing method, but its inconsistent range and poor accuracy make it a Nerf weapon that you probably never want to use in battle.

I had a Nerf Slingshot when I was a kid. The loading mechanism is cool (just drop three balls down the tube) and the action somewhat resembles a real slingshot — just pull back the rubber band and release.

The biggest problem with the Nerf Slingshot is getting the hammer on the rubber band to hit the balls squarely. Depending on the angle that you release from, the hammer will hit on top or underneath the ball, which affects both the range and accuracy.

The Nerf Sharpshooter was the first Nerf weapon made that could fire darts.

As you can see from the picture, the design of the Sharpshooter was pretty simple. You cocked the gun with the lever in the back, and pulled the trigger to fire.

The Sharpshooter was a fantastic gun in its time, and it boasted pretty impressive distance and accuracy for the era. There are many better Nerf blasters out there now, but you should still pick one of these things up if you’re up for a good bout of nostalgia.

The Nerf Missile Blaster was the first missile weapon that Nerf ever made.

The Nerf Missile Blaster was the first missile weapon that Nerf ever made.

The Missile Blaster is a pump action single-shot Nerf gun, with storage for two extra missiles.

The range on the Missile Blaster is phenomenal. Since it’s pump fired, how far it shoots is entirely dependent on how quickly you can pull back the handle.

Shooting missiles 50 feet or more is pretty common, but the firing mechanism makes it difficult to hit anything with it from long range.

The Missile Blaster is hard to fire accurately, because it’s very difficult to hold the blaster steady when you’re pulling the pump towards your body.

Also, if you’ve ever owned another one of Nerf’s missile blasters, you know that the ammo is woefully inaccurate anyway.

Unless you’re in need of a serious nostalgia fix or just happen to like blasters with missile ammo, the Missile Blaster is hard to recommend. It’s fun to play with, but it’s only accurate in close quarters combat — and there are many better close quarters blasters out there.

The Nerf Missilestorm is one of the best missile weapons that Nerf has ever made.

The Missilestorm is hand-powered, so you control how fast and far it shoots by the force that you apply to the pump. The gun also allows you to shoot up to five missiles in rapid succession, which makes it a great Nerf gun to use when spraying is called for.

Unfortunately, like all Nerf guns that use missiles, the Missilestorm is wildly inaccurate, thanks to the way the missiles and fins bend with use.

However, despite the accuracy issues, the Misslestorm is still a lot of fun.

The Nerf Missile Launcher is designed to be operated with your foot. Stepping (or jumping) on the plunger will shoot a missile into the air, which means its fun to play with, but impossible to hit a moving target.

The Nerf Missile Launcher also suffers from some design problems. Most notably, the tube connected to the plunger often pops off the base of the launcher, and it can be a pain to have to stick it back on after every shot.

All in all, the Nerf Missile Launcher is fun to play around with, but it’s pretty useless if your aim is to shoot some people with your Nerf weapons.

The Nerf Arrowstorm can be loaded with up to six arrows at a time, and it can fire off about three arrows per second up to about 25 feet each.
